Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How does the ADvantage 101 software work?

The ADvantage 101 uses 'State of the Art' messaging software to playback your messages.

Basically, this software is a computer controlled telephone on hold messages and music player..not dissimilar to a digital mp3 player. The software automatically mixes and plays messages and music that, when you plug in your telephone system, will play to your callers while they are on-hold or being transferred. This main advantage of using a computer is automation (e.g. date sensitive messages) and great user control.

Q. What equipment do I need to use the ADvantage 101 On-Hold Message System?

For a traditional telephone system you will need:

*  A Windows computer.
*  A soundcard with a sound out or speaker socket. Most modern computers should have this.
*  A telephone system with an hold facility.
*  A cable to connect this computer to the messages on-hold socket. This usually is supplied with the telephone system but if not they can usually be purchased inexpensively from your local electronics store.

If you are uncertain about the last 2 points, we recommend you consult with your telephone system supplier.

Q. How do I know if my telephone system will work with the ADvantage 101 On-Hold System?

Almost all modern telephone systems have the MOH port and cable required to use our software system. If you have anything else connected on-hold at the moment then this system will almost certainly work.

If you are in doubt - call your telephone system supplier and ask if the system you have has a MOH socket for on-hold.

We also recommend that you download the trial version and test that your computer and telephone equipment are in good working order.

Q. Is it possible to load our own music or messages other than what is offered by you?

Yes, you can import wav and mp3 audio files from your computer or from CD.
